NEPM: The Apple Place

Cindy Normandin, owner of The Apple Place in East Longmeadow, talks with Kaliis, Monte, and Phil about: 

• Growing 50 kinds of apples, and all the things they become (the whole neighborhood smells like apples when they bake ?)
• Fun activities for adults and families, from corn maze to live music (they won best bakery, best live music, and best family destination this year from The Springfield Republican’s Reader Raves!)
• Carrying on the legacy of her family‘s farm, one of the last in East Longmeadow, and the hard work she’s devoted to it alongside support from CISA and others. 

“(Though we might farm different things), farmers are farmers and we’re all in this together,” says Cindy. “Getting all those people together, and having CISA in in our corner, is a huge advantage (for farmers) in Massachusetts. I don’t think every state has that.”
