NEPM: Westfield Farmers’ Market
The Westfield Farmers’ Market is an expression of community at work for the benefit of all. In this week’s #LocalHeroSpotlight, Kaliis and Monte visit the Westfield Farmers’ Market, which is located at the Church of the Atonement at 36 Court Street in Westfield. The market is open on Thursdays, noon to 5pm.
True to the market’s history, this episode talks about how the market evolved to serve the community, and what that means amid federal funding cuts and more. Lisa Zlody, market manager, and Suzanna Albom, pastor of the Church of the Atonement, and market volunteer, Suzanna Adams, share the joys and challenges of operating a farmers’ market this season.
