Greenfield Winter Fare

Come on out to the Greenfield Winter Farmers’ Market on February 4th at the Four Corners School for a special Winter Fare day! A full day of free demos, activities for kids, a Food Swap, music, and more, plus the amazing range of great local food and crafts that await you monthly at this market. Come on out and bring a friend! All Winter Fare Events are free, open to the public, and do not require an RSVP.

10:30am – 11:30am: Bryce Comprone of Wild for Greens will teach a short class on growing your own microgreens at home.

10am – 1pm:

  • Tonianne Paquette of Food Love will be joining us to demo delicious, healthy recipes with food available right there in the market.
  • Emma Donnelly and Gerald Clark of Blue Dragon Apothecary will discuss the uses and benefits of local herbs.
  • Jess Rogollaud will demonstrate upcycling old and used t-shirts into new projects.
  • The Center for EcoTechnology will be joining us with a fun and educational recycling/upcycling activity for kids.
  • Kay Lyons of the Children’s Department at the Greenfield Public Library will be reading children’s books.
  • Music from Pat & Tex LaMountain

1pm – 1:30pm: Valley Food Swap will be hosting a food swap from 1pm to 1:30pm. Bring your best jams, pickles, ferments, syrups, dried fruits and herbs, frozen soups, and whatever other delicious fruits of this season’s labor you’ve still got at home, and swap with fellow kitchen enthusiasts for something new to you!

CISA will be matching SNAP benefits up to $10 at the Greenfield Winter Farmers’ Market and other winter farmers’ markets all season long – spend $10 in SNAP benefits, bring home $20 worth of local food!
