The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Cannabis Control Commissioner Jennifer Flanagan will speak at its November 17 breakfast at Terrazza Ristorante at the Greenfield Country Club. Governor Baker named former MA State Senator Jennifer L. Flanagan as the gubernatorial appointee to the five-member CCC, charged with regulating both the adult use and medical marijuana industries. As a member of the State Senate, Flanagan served on numerous legislative committees focusing on public health, substance misuse, and professional licensure. Additionally, she led efforts to enact comprehensive and bipartisan legislation proposed and signed by the Governor to combat substance use addiction through treatment, recovery and prevention. At this drop-in information session you can get your farm, farm stand or farmers’ market authorized for SNAP (food stamps) and receive your USDA FNS number the very same day! USDA, Department of Transitional Assistance and Department of Agricultural Resources staff will be on site to walk you through the process and assist with your application. You will also learn about SNAP processing equipment options and the Healthy Incentives Program (HIP) benefit.
