It’s time for a #localherospotlight on New England Public Media –in South Hadley Falls!Monte, Kaliis, and Jennifer visit Laura Bowman, owner of Violet and Blue Door Gatherings in Holyoke.

Fans of Blue Door Gatherings (BDG) in Holyoke wait for the window to be open for speck sandwiches, wine and cheese events, or otherworldly pastries. The business caters weddings and parties and offers personal chef services.

Now fans of local food thoughtfully crafted and sourced from local ingredients can enjoy Violet –the new cafe and wine bar in South Hadley Falls, brought to you by the team at BDG.

Local ingredients shine in fresh focaccia sandwiches & pastries, with other seasonal ingredients inserted wherever they can. Right now, beautiful tomatoes from Kitchen Garden Farm are on the BLT and in salads. They source berries from Quonquont Farm for berry bowls and oats. Peaches and tomatoes are coming from Red Fire Farm. After a partnering on a few wine dinners with Glendale Ridge Vineyard, there is usually at least one variety of their wine on the menu. They source salad greens and lettuce from several local farms.
