What can I buy?
So many things! Vegetables, fruit, meat, eggs, yogurt, milk, cheese, mushrooms, bread, jam, maple syrup, honey, garden plants, and more – all sold by local folks who grow and make these products.
Once I buy food with tokens, can I get change in cash?
No. We can’t change tokens back into cash.
Is SNAP & Save the same as FoodstampsX2?
SNAP & Save is a new program for all participating farmers’ markets. It replaces the ‘FoodstampsX2’ program, which was only at Northampton’s Tuesday Market.
What is SNAP?
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program helps people and families with low incomes buy healthy food. It used to be called the Food Stamps Program. People with SNAP benefits get an EBT card to buy food – it works like a debit card.
